FRIDAY'S HUNT and WEEKEND REFLECTIONS - Amsterdam Zoo

Today I am showing you E for Elephants at the Artis Royal Zoo in Amsterdam and am linking to Fridays Hunt and Weekend Reflections
.Notice 2 different settings were used. Other words are Happy and Drops.

Now here is a HAPPY Elephant.

I am sure this driver was very unhappy when he returned to find his car covered in EXCRETA from birds or perhaps you prefer DROPS from bird poo!. Mind you if you do leave your car until a tree that birds roost in, this is the result!!
It also doubles as a REFLECTION shot.

Many thanks for visiting and also for leaving comments

  1. I do love elephants - and am always surprised at how hairy the young ones are.

  3. That first photo of the three elephants was neat because I saw them first as three in one. I had to look closely to distinguish them one from each other.

  4. There is nothing cuter than a baby elephant. Great shots. Also a very fine reflection in the car windows.

  7. Adorable baby elephant! That car splattered with bird poo made me chuckle.

  8. Great photos and quite a variety of fences in what must be a relatively small area. Love the look of all those pears.

  9. Lots of elephant pictures, Margaret. I like the first setting the better, it is made for "elephant grey." Now I remembered after you posted that on July 3 while we were in Nebraska we went to the "Elephant Hall" at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb. They had reconstructed some elephants, either with skeletons only or in a hairy real time look. Of course jus the ones they found in the Midwest were displayed. There were more dinosaurs than elephants by a long way. These too were mostly from Nebraska and the Midwest.
I had two geology courses in that building "way back." We had the Museum even then.
Poor car with all the droppings. Your drops are similar in nature but not in composition as mine. Haha.

  11. Such lovely pictures of the elephants Margaret! I love the little fuzzy covering on the baby one. What a cute little critter. How lovely that you were able to see them so close. I find that autumn always produces the most colourful bird droppings with all the berries that they eat at that time of year. Often purple poops!

  13. Looks like the birds aren't fans of reflections. Try as they might the reflections are still there. :-)
