WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

On the day of the Grand Opening of the restored stone floor in the main entrance hall at Mount Stewart (post next Monday), I arrived 2 hours early and was able to go round the lake and I found the female Swan (pen) sitting on her nest.  However there were 2 interloper Swans on the lake and the cob was kept very busy trying his best to get rid of them without success.

I am liniking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.

Above is the cob of the pen on the nest and below is one of the interlopers
and the cob certainly means business.

Meanwhile the pen sits patiently on her nest.

Many thanks for visiting and also for commenting on this post.

  6. Your photos shows the beauty of these swans, but they can be tough and demanding when they feel threatened.
